It is painfully obvious that the machine known as Washington is broken. Too many lifetime politicians seem to only care about their next election instead of doing what they were elected to do.
Term limits should be imposed on the members of the House and the Senate just like the Office of the President. Two term limit and thats it. No lifetime pension, no special considerations that the average citizen doesn't have after leaving office. Maybe then people that actually care enough about fixing the country's problems will have access to these legislative positions in our government.
