We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Ask Congress to Prevent Presidential Conflicts of Interest

Created by T.S. on December 12, 2016

Congress needs to take measures to prevent presidential conflicts of interest from harming the nation. I propose three steps to achieve this end:

Require all presidents to place all of their business interests into a truly blind trust for the duration of their term(s) as President of the United States of America.

Require all presidents to release their tax returns for the previous ten years prior to taking office.

Require all presidents to adhere to the rules regarding conflicts of interest that Congress is already required to follow.

The first two steps are already customary, and should be made into law.
