In the interest of Immigration Reform, we the undersigned petition the President and ask that he encourage Congress to propose a change to the 14th Amendment to the US Constitution.
The current text of the 14th Amendment reads as follows: "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."
The new Amendment should change the text of the 14th Amendment to read as follows: "All persons born of at least one US Citizen, or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.
