This petition is to ask that our President act on behalf of the American citizens and request that Congress change tax law to benefit corporations and employees that have Loan Repayment Assistance Programs (LRAP). LRAP programs are a great way for corporations to provide benefits to their employees who have student loans.
If congress was to change the tax law, it would be a win, win, win situation. Corporations would be able to increase employee morale, reduce turnover, training costs and recruiting costs by having LRAP plans that require employees to stay at the company. Employees would win by paying less out of their pockets on loans, and the Govt. would have less students defaulting.
