On August 18, 1911, congress arbitrarily locked in the size of the ever-growing house of representatives to 435 members. The house is no longer a house of the people but just another senate. People are disconnected and not represented by their representatives. In the first congress, one representative, represented 33,000 people. Now, they represent around 700,000. A larger house (around 3,000) would help stop political gridlock, help third parties become elected, and prevent special interest groups. Bring back the house "of the people"
