Ask Congress to watch an episode of Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood at the start of each day.

Created by C.L. on March 16, 2013

With so much infighting and lack of empathy in Congress, our Senators and Representatives seem to have lost perspective and forgotten that its the people of the United States that should be most important to them, whoever those people are.

Many people in Congress, like many of us, grew up watching Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood. We saw how he cared about everyone, and was always willing to extend a helping hand. To this day, few people can watch Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood and then turn around and think something bad about other people.

Everyone becomes a better person immediately after watching Mr. Rogers. If Congressmen and women were to watch an episode of his show before every session, there might be a lot more empathy in Congress, and things that desperately need to get done might get done.
