The #GamerGate movement is being used as cover by an online organization of individuals to systematically harass women video game software developers, designers, journalists, feminist commentators and online pundits.
Threats of harm and death to these women and their families, and have caused more than 8 women to flee their homes in fear of their safety. Terrorist threats of mass violence in public presentations hosting these women have been made to close those meetings down.
We would like for the White House to ask the Department of Justice to fully investigate these organized attempts at harassment and threats of violence.
These members are organized, using websites and other online resources to coordinate their "operations" against these women and any that publicly share their views.
