To petition the Department of Justice to investigate the legality of the "Voter Information Verification Act" and the multiple provisions therein. We ask the Federal government to closely examine voter identification, the reduction of early voting times, the potential disenfranchisement of minorities, the elderly, the homeless and those who attend our higher education institutions to determine if these measures are in fact lawful and constitutional. It is the contention of this petition that many of these provisions are deliberately designed to change the voter demographic and/or reduce voter turn out, in order to keep the current legislature in office.
