Disneyland plans to discontinue the Billy Hill and the Hillbillies show, per the official Disneyland park blog: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2013/11/disneyland-park-to-retire-.... This was news to the cast members (personal discussion with cast member November 8, 2013). This announcement has caused an outcry from families all over the country who love this show and cite it as one of the reasons they visit Disneyland. We would like Disneyland to reconsider this action, as it will lessen the Disneyland experience, and potentially remove travel and spending dollars of some families from the economy. If Disneyland knows how much the country, and the White House, cares about this show that has entertained for decades, they may reconsider.
