Ask the EPA to restrict or ban bottled water companies from mining water resources in areas under drought conditions.

Created by Z.W. on June 15, 2015

The first twelve years of my professional life where spent in the water treatment industry, not only obtaining a degree but spending nearly a decade in the industry itself. As a former industry professional I find it a very real danger to allow bottled water companies to mine water resources in drought restricted areas, those particularly concerning the Southern California region. According to the USGS, only 0.03% of all water on earth is fresh, accessible and services nearly all of living organisms. Fresh water cannot be a commodity to be traded or sold like stock. Fresh Water is a very precious resource that is in danger of depletion in many areas.

The water resources in drought restricted areas cannot be allowed to be shipped off and sold in other regions for a near 1000% markup.
