Ask Ethiopia to recognize the border set by the U.N. after the border war with Eritrea.

This petition and all those undersigned request that the United States government approach the matter of the border conflict between Eritrea and Ethiopia by asking Ethiopia to officially recognize the border that was set by the United Nations after the border war between Eritrea and Ethiopia. Eritrea's government has made and continues to make many human rights violations with the justification of being in a state of war with Ethiopia, namely the indefinite conscription of hundreds of thousands of Eritrean youth and young adults. If Eritrea is able to resolve its dispute with Ethiopia, the reason for Eritrea's authoritarian policies in the name of war will be nullified. This action will convince the Eritrean Diaspora, government, and people that the U.S. is supportive of Eritrea.
