Ask every congressperson to host a dinner with the people from their districts.

Created by S.R. on September 21, 2013

With the proposed budget slashing $40 billion from the S.N.A.P. budget, I would like to see every congressperson host a nutritious dinner for 10 people from their district who together represent those directly impacted by the budget change: babies and children, the elderly, the disabled, veterans, and working adults. This dinner would be paid for out of pocket by the congressperson and would only cost $15.40, the daily allotment for each person (including the congressperson) according to the S.N.A.P. guidelines. Additionally, the congressperson would have to touch and make eye contact with each guest while explaining to them how our county has been nice to them.
