Ask FDA to make Labels Mandatory for all packaged, restaurant food to distinguish vegetarian and non-vegetarian products

Created by G.S. on July 26, 2013

We have the right to know what food we and our kids are going to eat at a very first glance as per our food choice and religious belief, but at present we do not have any legislation as per US Food and Drug Administration to enable easy differentiation.

If a green dot label for vegetarian, orange dot label for beef, fish, chicken, pork & other non-vegetarian products; and white dot label for products containing milk, honey & egg ingredients.

The restaurants and packaged food all over the United States does not easily differentiate vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. At present it is a difficult and hesitating situation for people to make an easy decision.

Many countries in Europe and Asia use this kind of labelling optional; with India as this rule mandatory.
