Ask for the final release of Meriam Ibrahim and her family; let them leave Sudan for a destination of their choice.

Created by J.S. on June 24, 2014

Please free Meriam and her entire family once and for all, and allow them to leave Sudan for the destination of their choice.
Meriam Yehya Ibrahim was arrested, convicted, and sentanced to death last May under the Islamist-led government on charges of apostasy (abandoning the Islamic faith), and since her marriage to a Christian man was unrecognized by the government, she was also convicted of adultry. Because she refused to renounce Christianity, she was sentanced to 100 lashes and death. However, an appeals court eventually reversed the decision and she was released. A day or two later (24 June), Meriam and her husband were arrested while trying to leave Sudan for the United States. No reason has been given and their location has not been disclosed.
