Why can't subscribers buy recorders for their TVs? The rental cost is about $6.00 permonth. or $72.00 per year. The telephone company monoply as broken up years ago which affored the consumer the ability to buy phones, rather than be subjected to mionthly rental fees. I can buy a phone anywhere. The same advantage should be applicable to recorders which replaced VHS recorders.
