Ask the FTC to offer searchable results of their investigations of complaints related to the Do Not Call registry.

Created by D.C. on January 18, 2014

The National Do Not Call registry allows consumers to advise the FTC of telemarketing calls that they receive against their will and after having registered their number(s) with the Registry.

Consumers do not have the ability to see the outcome of FTC investigations into violations. This petition asks the White House to instruct the FTC to establish a searchable database of submitted complaints including the frequency of complaints for each number reported to the FTC and a status of the investigation. This would allow consumers great visibility into the effectiveness of the list and the Commission's efforts to combat unwanted telemarketing calls.
