This petition is asking that President Obama ask his supporters in the media (and there are lots of them) to stop using the names of mass shooters in their stories in an effort to reduce the number of copycat crimes.
These unbalanced individuals are obviously seeking out the infamy that comes along with their act. Deny them that. If the media is serious about helping this situation (instead of just their ratings), this should be a "common sense" step.
Stop wagging your tongues, and shaking your heads, lamenting about "gun control", trying to infringe on the rights of the law-abiding, and actually be useful!
If President Obama is serious about solving this issue, and not just pushing an agenda, this step requires no legislation, and virtually no effort.
