Digital only voting equipment has the potential for hacking of firmware/software to alter how votes are attributed. Said software can be loaded and removed by replacing socketed chips (ICs) in these machines. We need the Justice Department to do statistical analysis of election abnormalities and target machines for forensic examination to determine whether such tampering has occurred.
