Mike Pence is about to be among the most powerful people in the land, but has steadfastly refused to divulge a set of emails relevant to his governance. If the court in Indiana allows this to proceed, it sets up a precedent where he would be allowed to conceal information from the public in additional circumstances. We urge President Barack Obama to take a stand on this issue for maximum transparency as we begin to deal with a new administration.
