In a time when many corporations fail to actively consider the opinions of their customer base, it is time for individuals to stand and make their voices heard. Though the casting of Spider-man may appear to be a small issue, it should be pointed out that to many, Spider-man represents much of what is best about American virtue. In our history, ideas such as self-sacrifice and courage in the face of danger has inspired many to accomplish great deeds that have benefited society. Ensuring that young men and women can look up to a model of American valor is something worth attention. When Tobey Maguire first played Spider-man he exuded the kind of bravery and vulnerability that the Millennial generation could emulate. Let's bring him back to inspire yet another group of young people!
