Since December 31st 2013 1.3 million jobless Americans and their dependents have gone without unemployment benefits. Congress has failed to move an extension of these vital benefits forward and it appears that resolution of this matter, so important to so many, is being de-prioritized. While Congress took vacation time last week many Americans were being confronted with delinquency notices, tough decisions about eating and heating their homes and caring for their families. If you find the lack of unified support to address the critical needs of your fellow Americans deplorable then please sign this petition. Freeze payment to those not doing their elected jobs until these benefits are restored.
