This petition would require members of congress to spend the majority of their time with the people they are elected to represent. This would mean:
1. Our representatives know us, know our issues, and know our needs.
2. Our representatives would be more accessible to us, than to each other and lobbyists.
3. Lobbyists would need to travel to them, decreasing their power and resources, and increasing state revenue.
4. In-fighting and loyalty to the party (over the people of the united states) would decrease.
5. Our representatives would be more effected by the outcomes of the votes they are passing as true residents of their states.
