This is a petition to ask President Obama, as the leader of the Democratic Party, to publicly request Hillary Clinton, as a Democratic candidate to release the transcripts of her speeches to Goldman Sachs in advance of the remaining Democratic Primaries. It is known that senator Clinton received speaking fees of $250,000 per engagement for speeches to Goldman Sachs after she left the State Department in 2013. While this is not a request to compel her release of the transcripts (something beyond the scope of the President) this is framed as call on the President to make a public request in order to exert political pressure on senator Clinton to release these transcripts. We make this request in the interest of promoting transparency in the political agenda of Clinton as a Dem. candidate.
