Your intuitive reaction might be, "Wait, what about democracy?" Well worry not, because We the People have already been wondering that for a while now and we're at the 'acceptance' stage of our grief over losing our republic. Big money and exclusive interests have won it long ago, and there is no functioning democracy to betray. So as long as those are our circumstances, the Americans would like to ask:
Can you swing four more years?
We get that you're tired. We know what we've put you through. We're just not ready to let you go. A little longer, and we'll let you retire. We promise.
