We the people ask the federal government to Take or explain a position on an issue or policy:

Ask the President to request the immediate resignation of FBI Director James Comey.

Created by J.N. on October 30, 2016

Director Comey issued a letter to Congress explaining in the vaguest possible terms that new email communications had been discovered pertinent to the investigation into Secretary Clinton's emails and use of a private email server. This letter was issued by Comey after he had been advised by the Department of Justice not to do so due to the possible impact it could have on the impending election. At the time this letter was issued, Comey knew the emails referenced did not come to or from Secretary Clinton, and did not issue to or from her private server. Comey did know, however, that a search warrant for said emails HAD NOT EVEN BEEN ISSUED at the time he directed his letter to Congress. This letter to Congress thus appears to be a reckless attempt by Comey to influence the election.
