There has been a crackdown on Journalists and certain members of various Chadian media. Eric Topona, journalist and secretary of Journalist Union has been incarcerated since May 7th, 2013 along with Moussaye Avenir. Blogger Jean Etienne Laokole has been detained since March 2013. They are passionate about their job which is to collect, write and distribute news and other information to the public. Their liberties are violated because of their passion. They are silenced and put in miserable conditions. They just want to enjoy their passion just like Anderson Cooper is doing by keeping us honest. As model of democracy, a nation upon the hill, the United States cannot condone their violation of human rights
