All assault weapons to be confiscated and place in a local armory that is ran by the state police. When a citizen wants to use said firearm for recreation they go to the armory and check out the gun. Persons that appear to be inebriation, high, or in a rapid emotional state will be denied access to their fire arms. Also if the citizen has recently broken any laws such as receiving a DUI the police will have record of this and they will be denied access for an extended period of time. A curfew for when the gun has to be returned will also be instated. This is a great middle ground solution that will keep everyone one safe, a billion dollar industry running, a protection of rights and finally give me peace of mind.
