To assert by law that the Second amendment does not translate to mean that a citizen may bear assault rifles.

Created by D.O. on December 26, 2012

Following on the gruesome murders of unprotected and / or ambushed Americans by fellow citizens who have abused the right granted under the second amendment, it is most necessary to define explicitly what arms the 2nd amendment supports; and in view of the fact that the police and military are equipped adequately to protect the people from untoward attacks, no one needs to keep assault rifles to protect themselves. The right to bear arms must preclude assault rifles for the protection of all from ourselves, no one can judge on the face value who is mentally balanced or not. No one should hide under the second amendment for whatever benefits against the benefit of the majority.
