Assert the Presidential Right to the Line Item Veto in order to eliminate pork and other spurious add-ons to bills.

The President has the Constitutional right to Veto any and all parts of a bill. He merely needs to assert that right. This would allow him to eliminate all extraneous portions of a bill, many of which are added on merely to provide largess to the constituents of individual Congressmen at the expense of the American taxpayer. This could be the single most important step in getting the U.S. budget under control.
