President Obama has shown many times that he is prepared to make change a priority in his Administration. What needs to come next is a detailed examination of structural violence in America, with focus on the structural violence caused by economic disparity. Millions of people (mainly minorities and poor) die each year for preventable reasons. The only reason they are not getting help is simply "the bottom-line". There is absolutely not any Return of Investment on preventing these deaths.
Mr. President, you have seen ethnic poverty in your lifetime, firsthand. We need a bi-partisan committee to study structural violence deaths in America, so we can make the American Dream a reality for all who live here.
