Assign a special prosecutor to investigate the Los Angeles Police Department & the death of Christopher Dorner

Though the actions of Christopher Dorner are horrifying and absolutely wrong, the Los Angeles Police Department has had a long and storied history of corruption, racism and brutality. It's actions through history have not only given California a black eye, but blackened the eyes of every police department across the country. People have lost their faith in their police to protect the public. Christopher Dorner's death at the hands of law enforcement only furthers the public's mistrust & was a disservice to not only his victims, but to all Americans. The American people deserve to know if the LAPD is truly free of corruption & that Mr. Dorner's allegations were false, or if they were true. That is why we the undersigned ask for an independent investigation.
