Dale Murphy played in Major League Baseball from 1976-1993, mostly with the Atlanta Braves.He won MVP Awards in 1982 and 1983, home run titles in 1984 and 1985. He also won 5 consecutive gold glove awards, 2 RBI titles, 4 Silver Slugger awards and seven All Star selections. He was one of the most dominant players of the 1980's. He also played with the utmost integrity and respect of others. In this world of cheating in sports, Murphy was and is a shining example of how sports need to be played. If the BBWAA can penalize players for lack of character, then they should be compelled to reward Murphy for his excellent character.
This year is Murphy's last year of eligibility. He, along with Roger Maris, are the only two multiple MVP winners yet to be inducted into the HOF. Please help!
