We the Concerned would like to cordially request that President Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, and the associated administration assist in raising public awareness of Eating Disorders.
We would like to commened Mrs. Obama on her outreach to young individuals in raising awareness of the Obesity Epidemic, and her implementation of the Lets Move! initiative. However we would like to see an associated rise in Eating Disorder awareness and education, as this is also a deadly, growing problem for Americans both young and old.
We are not able to include the statistics of these diseases. However the National Association of Anorexia and Associated Disorders is a wonderfully informative site we strongly recommend.
