WHEREAS, the leadership and membership of the 113th Congress have allowed the sequester to take effect, acknowledging that it is bad policy designed to be harmful.
WHEREAS, the Sequester was designed as a political solution to a political problem, not a reasoned solution to an economic problem.
THEREFORE, We The People acknowledge our responsibility for the failures of the 113th Congress and wish to correct our mistakes.
We The People respectfully ask the 113th Congress not to reconvene, and petition the administration to assist each District and State in holding special elections within six weeks.
No member of the 113th Congress shall be considered eligible for reelection for a period one year.
