Assist Syrian and Iraqi Christians and Other Religious Minorities

Created by S.F. on March 15, 2016

The United States can do much more to assist Iraqi and Syrian religious minorities such as Christians and Yazidis who face brutal discrimination and genocide from ISIS. Iraqi Christians fleeing persecution have been deported without consideration for the possibility that they may end up in Iraq again. Also, Christians and other religious minorities account for a disproportionately small number of the refugees the United States has accepted.

Accordingly, we ask that the Obama Administration immediately stop any current or future deportations of Iraqi and Syrian religious refugees. In addition, we ask the Obama Administration to increase efforts to assist religious minorities fleeing persecution and to assist those still in ISIS territory by whatever means are available.
