assistive technology and complex rehabilitation equipment

Created by R.D. on October 01, 2015

I work as a physical therapist with people that rely on complex rehabilitation equipment such as power wheelchairs and custom seating to perform basic ADL's and have a basic quality of life. My patients need this equipment to have safe/comfortable seating (without risk of developing pressure sores or deformity) and have independent mobility. If this equipment is not provided it would not only greatly impact their function but also put them at risk for costly interventions such as hospitalizations.
