Created by T.K. on December 17, 2012

AMERICAN PROTECTIONS ACT

1. Ban the sale of assault weapons/high capacity mags
2. Ban the sale of ammunition online and unlicensed retailers
4. Create federal/state entities to monitor licensed sale of ammunition
5. Significantly increase per-bullet tax rate
6. Raise gun license fees to cover cost of more in-depth background check
7. Require a mental health expert's "prescription" (renewed annually) for purchase of ammunition and firearms
8. Institute assault weapons buyback program to remove such weapons from communities
