Scotland has a unique opportunity to replicate our results from 1776 and break free of the yoke of the United Kingdom without any violence or conflict when they vote on Independence on September 18, 2014. Since the United States has been a bastion of freedom and democracy since its inception, it seems only proper that we as a nation extend a hand of friendship to Scotland and assure them that if their desire is for independence that we will be there to support, encourage, and, if asked, guide them through the difficult but rewarding process of independence.
