Assure Seniors job security through corporate incentives and penalties or lower Social Security eligibility age.

Created by C.N. on December 11, 2012

Retirement age continues being a bouncing ball as government assumes Seniors are able to work and can obtain and maintain gainful employment. However, age discrimination is rampant, employers cost for hiring Seniors is higher than hiring younger candidates, and there are no corporate incentives or penalties.

Increasing Social Security retirement age requires Seniors to compete for jobs in an unfair marketplace.

Therefore, lower Social Security eligibility age or implement job protection and corporate incentives and penalties. Lower corporate costs (health insurance) for hiring Seniors. If unemployment occurs, continue unemployment benefits until full retirement age.
