Attempt to appeal to the Turkish Government to change the Country's name to "Apricot"

Created by H.F. on October 14, 2015

For a long time now, the area once home to the Ottoman Empire has been dubbed "The Republic of Turkey". However, it is time for a change. Turkey is the largest domestic producer of Apricots in the world, with over 900,000 tons of the fruit being produced yearly.

The name "Apricot" would better represent the turkish government's identity, and provide context for the country as a whole. Since when do the Turks raise poultry? Never. But they do grow copious amounts of Apricots.
