Attempt bipartisan cooperation

Created by T.O. on January 19, 2013

We the people feel both parties involved in our government have have grown far more polarizing and divisive than the public they represent. While this is not unique to our president, it is a problem which our president has made worse.

There is no doubt the house was obstructionist a year ago when refusing to involve tax increases as part of a larger deal to fix our finances. While this was a legitimate accusation at the time, they have since compromised. Where are the spending cuts in return for the tax hikes? How is a tax-only policy "balanced"?

From his refusal to compromise on fiscal issues to his abrasiveness over gun control, President Obama continues to insult conservatives. We request he adopt more grace, tact, and cooperation as he pursues solutions to our country's needs.
