Dear Mr. President,
I humbly request your presence at our 3rd Annual New London Youth Talent Show in the fine city of New London, CT. This talent show represents the work of youth ages 10 - 25 and the mentors who lead them through the process.
New London County's youth are worth national attention and they are worth your attention.
The city of New London is not often recognized for its stars. In fact, very unfortunately, New London has received a bad reputation that often scars the youth who live here. We are an urban city amidst a mostly rural CT and we are in one of the slowest to recover regions of the current recession.
Please make the effort to recognize the strength and achievement our youth show by persevering and reaching for their stars.
