Attribute Suicide Notes the Same Legal Influence as a Last Will and Testament

Created by W.P. on January 03, 2015

In light of the tragic, recent suicide and subsequent funeral arrangements of the transgender teen, Leelah Alcorn, we ask that the United States Congress quickly write and enact:
1.) A legal definition of a bona fide suicide note, which may be verified via handwriting analysis, fingerprinting, and/or body fluid analysis.
2.) Legislature awarding a bona fide suicide note with the same legal influence as a last will and testament
3a.) Legislature that would charge individuals who willfully and knowingly conceal suicide notes from legal entities with perjury and/or tampering with evidence AND
3b.) Legislature that would charge individuals who willfully and knowingly tamper with or falsify suicide notes with perjury, forgery, and/or tampering with evidence.
