Audit the Department of Defense, billions could be saved in overspending, and establishing an efficent system!

Created by B.P. on November 14, 2012

Since Congress is looking for ways to cut unnecessary budget spending, an audit of Defense Department Spending and Practices could save billions of dollars in spending and correct years of inefficencies. It is has been stated that 40% of the Defense Budget is unauditable! Moreover, cost over runs due to faulty contractual accounting procedures are a major source of this problem. Should the President take this initiative it only follows that congress has already demonstrated a bipartisan willingness to cut waste and spending in government, such a project, would also establish legislation that would insure correct Defense Department accounting and associated auditing procedures going "Forward!"
