The American people have a right and a legitimate need to know what the Federal Reserve is doing with the powers it has been given over the value of the U.S. dollar and the solvency of the American banking system.
The Federal Reserve and its power to decide, without congressional oversight, to whom, and to what degree, it gives away the assets of the America people is not in keeping with the basic concept of a government that works for, and is accountable to, the people.
The Obama administration has promised transparency and accountability to the American people and should honor that self-proclaimed responsibility by encouraging the Democratic Party members of the House of Representatives and the United States senate to endorse and vote in favor of the Federal Reserve Transparency Act.
