There are no programs for special needs children especially in oconee county sc. These children get no education, these children have no resources. Single mothers like myself become homeless because we cannot work due to the fact there are no daycares or sitters available for these children. Our children are not taken seriously everything is always based on their behavior and not on their emotional state. Doctor schools and dss want to just lock these children up because they do not understand these kids. It is not okay to fail these children and give up on them or lock them away because nobody wants to understand them love them teach them. My son had been beaten abused by these facilities and dss dehec and ohan did nothing just sat back like he deserved it because he is autistic.
