March 19, 2003, Pres bush declares war on iraq when there was no factual basis for the war. The government lied to our public stating that there were WMD's when they didn't know whether or not there was. There was a plan laid out to take out seven countries in five years, which was publicized by General Wesley Clark. Recently There was also an interview recently where former secretary of defense Donald Rumsfeld admitted there was no factual basis for the war. The war albeit illegitimate, was authorized by congress thus making it legal. This has costed millions of lives, and billions of tax payers money. Yet our public has still not been given a reason for it. We want to know why congress authorize this war that we are still fighting today.
