In our current day, we suffer from the constant threat of war to come. With all the other countries making W.M.D's, we need protection. That's why we make Gundams. Gundams are mechs where humans get in and control them. This would give us a significant advantage in wars, since there is the constant threat of North Korea. Hopefully, we may secure the funds by 2016.
