Paper money is a form of currency that is physically printed by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, under authority of the Federal Reserve System. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing is part of the U.S. Treasury Department.
The present denominations of our currency in production are $1, $2, $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100. The purpose of the United States currency system is to serve the needs of the public and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing has no plans to change the denominations in use today.
i believe that the public can be best served by creating a new $25 bill. This is a needed denomination based on the existing denominations and would make paper money transactions easier.
I ask that the President authorize the Bureau of Engraving to create a new $25 bill for use. Thank you.
