Authorize funds to build a new VA Hospital in Chattanooga TN in order to facilitate the growing population of Veterans.

Created by C.M. on July 30, 2013

The Chattanooga VA Outpatient Clinic serves nearly 20,000 veterans located in twenty-one counties throughout Tennesee, Georgia, and Alabama.

Currently, for specialty services, veterans must drive more than 100 miles to Murfreesboro and Nashville VA Medical Centers for most specialty care and imaging services.

We are respectfully requesting the appropriation of funds in order to build a state of the art facility offering speciality care services like Cardiology, Orthopedics, Gastroenterology Physical Therapy, Pulmonary Medicine, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Optometry, Urgent Care and a full-service pharmacy.

This is pertinent, as the current clinic has outgrown its walls and veterans will soon face longer wait times, as the building can no longer support the population it serves.
